Thinking the non-identical.

Abstract

This paper systematically reconstructs Adorno's negative dialectics, articulating its fundamental determinations and its critical dialogue with its Hegelian and Marxist heritage. It examines the epistemological shift that postulates the primacy of the non-identical, which leads to a materialist vindication of the object as a sedimentation of historical social relations. Furthermore, it analyzes its core tools -immanent critique and conceptual constellations- as keys to identify and denounce social contradictions without assimilating them into a forced identity. Finally, it emphasizes its current relevance as a critical alternative to dogmatism and as an impulse for social transformation.
